How to start?

It is not difficult to start shooting. First ' Mark it!'…and action!

However, there is something that many people are not aware of – how many preparations are preliminary to the act. As long as the director hasn't worked out thoroughly every single detail, and hasn't started living the story that he wants to catch in takes and scenes, there is no sense in gathering the crew. The shooting is just like every other team work: The skilled team made of inventive individuals, led by the hand of the experienced coach.

The first working day is over...

Every profession has its own rules. Some rules are of professional, practical nature, like the one that the first shooting day is always Tuesday – in order to solve the inevitable small-matters "in the last moment", other rules are more conventional, or as the folks would say "what's right is right".

One of those rules is to have a press release on the first day of shooting, in order to present the film, the full cast and crew and the film sponsors.

The birth of the film began on such press release held in Zagreb, 25.10.2005.

How the time goes by on the set?

Atmosphere on the set. One might say that the atmosphere on the set is interesting. There is the contrast of the jovial spirit and grey weather, funny remarks and the heartbreak of the basic plot of the film, the great individuals and muddy coble roadway which they try to put soul in.

Organization and cooperation. The hazy morning by the Sava, the cold and damp. The truck with the equipment is late, the crane is not on the exact side, the actor shooting a scene can't find the right outfit. You should be a real morning-person to remain cheerful. However – the filmmakers are a strange crew. The bigger the anarchy, the easier they deal with it. And they manage to joke about it: ' Where is the brandy?! Out with the brandy!' They like their work exactly as it is. They look forward to every new working day; they look forward to each other. There is something in that brandy.

Hard work.Carrying everything out professionally, in the shortest time limit, with restricted resources but with clear visions. To set the scene right, to adjust the effects, to help the actors say what they have to say and show how their characters should feel, what they think, and how are they managing. Everyone dreams of being someone else, the people who can demonstrate realistically, how it would look like if they were someone else are rare, a few of them can bring their thought closer to other.
